Moongypsy Press--Manuscript Formatting and Required Information

Manuscript Formatting and Required Information

♦ Every submission packet should include the following items:
1. Cover letter, including word count and genre (Microsoft Word document)
2. 2- to 5-page synopsis of story
3. First three consecutive chapters (no other chapters will be considered)
4. Publishing credits, if previously published (please list title of book, publisher, and publishing date)

♦ FORMATTING GUIDLEINES FOR AUTHORS & EDITORS:
1. Microsoft Word document (DOC) or Rich Text Format (RTF)
2. No headers, footers, page numbers, author info, agent info, etc.
3. Please use either auto indent or manuals tabs. Not both.
4. Chapters should begin after a page break, not multiple returns to make it go down into a new page. Chapter headings should be centered with two returns after it.
5. Test for the first paragraph of a chapter should not be indented. Indent on the second paragraph.
6. No special fonts. Use Book Antigua 12 pt. If you don’t have this, please use Times Roman 12 pt.
7. Scene breaks are three asterisk with spaces in between and centered.
8. Do not put THE END at the end.

Using these guidlelines will make our formatting go much faster and the printer will not reject it or have serious problems which delay publication.

Thank you.
